CAMBRIDGE PAIN CONSULTANTS ARE SPECIALISTS IN PAIN MANAGEMENT
We are based in the historic university city of Cambridge. As full time NHS Consultants at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust we understand the physical, emotional and psychological impact of chronic pain on our patients and their families.
We provide private consultations to take the time to listen to you. Following a comprehensive history and examination we will discuss the treatment options that may be suitable and agree an individualised pain management plan. As part of a biopsychosocial model of pain management we work closely with other therapists and offer advice on medical treatments such as medications and interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks and joint injections. We also arrange further diagnostic tests such as MRI or CT scans to guide our management. These minimally invasive treatments, which can be performed with or without sedation are carried out as day cases.

BOOKING APPOINTMENTS
We will accept referrals from your General Practitioner, hospital consultants, physiotherapist or other health professional. We offer a range of appointment days and times at both the Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital and Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. Appointments may be booked directly with the hospital you choose.
An open referral to Cambridge Pain Consultants will ensure you are offered the next available appointment with one of our specialists, usually within the week, although if you would prefer to see a particular consultant this will be arranged but may be a little longer.
